What Debate Analyzer does
Debate Analyzer helps users prepare structured questioning for a hearing, debate, mock proceeding, or classroom exercise. Add hearings, attach evidence to each side, add the people being questioned, and generate a complete ordered plan for the hearing.
Questions are organized by section so foundation questions come before pressure questions, and follow-up sections can be created when an answer changes the path.
Core capabilities
- Save multiple hearings, evidence items, people, question sets, and coaching notes locally on device
- Attach Side A and Side B evidence and people to specific hearings
- Extract text from PDF and Word documents into evidence notes before generation
- Generate logically ordered question sections with expected answers and objection handling
- Mark expected, unexpected, objection, sustained, and other answer states during questioning
- Use follow-up coaching when an answer or sustained objection requires a new question path
AI features
Debate Analyzer uses a bring-your-own-key model. Users can enter OpenAI and Gemini API keys, configure provider-specific model names, and assign a pro model for initial question generation.
When the user taps a generation or follow-up action, the app sends the selected hearing information directly from the device to the chosen AI provider. Potato Studios does not proxy those requests and does not receive API keys, prompts, evidence, documents, generated questions, or coaching output.
Local storage and privacy
App data is stored on the user’s device. Debate Analyzer does not require an account, does not use a Potato Studios backend, and does not maintain a user database for app content.
Users can delete a hearing, reload the demo, or wipe local app data and API keys from the Settings screen. Device security and third-party AI provider policies still matter, so users should decide what information they are comfortable sending to OpenAI or Gemini.
