Debate Analyzer
Debate Analyzer helps users organize hearings, evidence, people, question sets, and coaching notes on device.
Version 1 is built around local storage and user-supplied OpenAI or Gemini API keys. Potato Studios does not collect app content.
This policy explains that local-first model and the limited situations where information may leave the device.
DEBATE ANALYZER PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: June 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Debate Analyzer (“Debate Analyzer,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information.
Debate Analyzer is designed as a local-first app. Potato Studios Development LLC does not collect, receive, store, sell, or share your hearings, evidence, documents, prompts, generated questions, coaching notes, API keys, or model settings.
1. Overview
Debate Analyzer does not require a user account, does not use a Potato Studios backend for app content, and does not maintain a Potato Studios database of user hearings, evidence, people, questions, or API keys.
In version 1, app data is stored locally on your device. AI features use API keys that you provide and requests are sent directly from your device to the provider you choose.
2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The App may store the information you enter or generate inside the App, including hearings, evidence notes, extracted document text, people, side labels, generated questions, coaching notes, answer states, conversation identifiers, model names, and API keys.
This information is stored locally in the App’s private device storage. It is used to provide the App experience on your device and is not sent to Potato Studios.
The App’s Android configuration disables ordinary app backup for App data. Device-level behavior can still vary based on operating system, device management, and user settings.
3. Documents and Text Extraction
If you upload a PDF or Word document in the App, Debate Analyzer extracts text on device and places that text into the evidence notes section so you can review and edit it.
Potato Studios does not receive the original document or extracted text. Extracted text may be sent to an AI provider only if you choose to use an AI feature that includes that evidence in the request.
4. AI Provider Calls
AI features are optional. If you use them, the App sends the selected hearing information, evidence notes, people information, questions, coaching context, and related prompt instructions directly from your device to the AI provider and model you selected, such as OpenAI or Gemini.
Those requests use your own API key. Potato Studios does not proxy the request and does not receive your API key, prompt, evidence, documents, generated questions, coaching output, or provider response.
OpenAI, Google, Gemini, or any other provider you configure may process the data under their own terms, privacy policies, API settings, and retention practices. We do not control those providers. If you do not want information sent to an AI provider, do not use AI generation or follow-up features for that information.
5. What We Do Not Collect
Potato Studios does not collect app content, API keys, generated outputs, usage analytics, crash analytics, location, contacts, payment information, account identifiers, or subscription information through Debate Analyzer version 1.
We do not sell personal information or debate preparation content.
6. Communications With Us
If you contact Potato Studios by email, through a contact form, or through an app store review, we may receive and retain the information you choose to provide in that communication so we can respond.
Please do not send confidential hearing materials, API keys, or sensitive personal information to support unless you intentionally choose to do so.
7. Platform and Provider Data
App stores, operating systems, device manufacturers, internet providers, and AI providers may process information independently of Potato Studios. For example, Google Play may process download, purchase, review, device, crash, or diagnostics information under Google’s policies.
Those third-party practices are not controlled by Potato Studios and are not created by Debate Analyzer’s local app storage.
8. Deletion Controls
You can delete individual hearings or wipe all local app data and API keys using the App’s Settings screen. You can also uninstall the App to remove local app data, subject to normal operating system behavior.
Deleting local data from Debate Analyzer does not delete information that you already sent directly to an AI provider. To manage provider-side data, review the provider’s own settings, dashboards, and policies.
9. Security
Because app data and API keys are stored locally, you should protect your device with an appropriate passcode, biometric lock, operating system updates, and account security practices.
No device, app, network, or AI provider is perfectly secure. You are responsible for deciding what information is appropriate to store on your device or send to an AI provider.
10. Privacy Rights
Because Potato Studios does not collect app content or maintain an account database for Debate Analyzer version 1, we generally do not have app content to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf.
If you contacted us directly and want to make a privacy request about that communication, contact us at the email address below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 18, use should be with appropriate supervision and only where lawful.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Effective Date at the top will indicate when the latest version took effect. If a future version of the App adds accounts, analytics, backend sync, subscriptions, or company-managed AI calls, this policy should be updated to describe those changes.
