Terms of Service

Chime Alarm

Effective date: July 14, 2026

These Terms govern the Chime Alarm Android app, Google Play pre-release builds, and related support provided by Potato Studios Development LLC.

2. Google Play and paid features

Chime Alarm may offer paid unlocks, subscriptions, or other paid content through Google Play. Google Play handles purchase processing, renewal, cancellation, refund requests, taxes, and payment credentials under Google's terms and account settings.

Potato Studios does not receive your full payment card number. Paid access may be tied to the Google account, device, or purchase status reported by Google Play.

3. License

Potato Studios grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Chime Alarm on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and applicable store rules.

4. Alarm responsibility

Chime Alarm is designed for short reminders and scheduled prompts. Alarm delivery can be affected by device power settings, notification permissions, volume, focus modes, operating-system behavior, and manufacturer restrictions.

Do not use Chime Alarm as the only alarm for emergencies, medical care, medication, personal safety, travel deadlines, or any situation where a missed alert could cause harm or significant loss.

5. Pre-release testing

Testing builds may contain unfinished features, defects, data resets, compatibility problems, and interruptions. Features shown in testing may change before public release.

6. Prohibited use

You may not use Chime Alarm to break the law, interfere with another person's device or account, bypass platform protections, distribute modified copies, or abuse testing, support, purchase, or refund systems.

7. Third-party services

Chime Alarm relies on Android, Google Play, notification services, text-to-speech services, and device platform features. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies, and Potato Studios does not control their availability, delivery, decisions, or platform rules.

8. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chime Alarm is provided "as is" and "as available." Potato Studios does not guarantee that alarms, recordings, speech, notifications, or third-party services will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Potato Studios Development LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost data, revenue, or opportunities; missed or delayed alarms; device issues; or third-party platform decisions.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Chime Alarm changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
