About Us

Potato Studios Development LLC is a veteran-owned software studio run by someone who keeps turning irritation into finished products. Apparently that is healthier than yelling at subscription pages, ad networks, and privacy-hostile apps forever.

The studio started from a simple operating rule: if a useful tool is bloated with ads, trackers, hostile pricing, or needless friction, build a cleaner one. Listing Studios came from paying too much for localized app screenshots and deciding that a screenshot workflow should not cost more than the app being launched.

That same spite-powered product strategy kept going. Reddit advertising made promotion painful enough that an iOS app sounded more reasonable. Apple review friction made Android worth building for too. A few smaller apps exist for the same reason: competitors took basic utilities, packed them with ads and trackers, and called that a business model.

The day job is embedded DSP work in defense, so Potato Studios does not need to squeeze users for ad impressions or data. The goal is to build useful tools, price them sanely, keep the privacy posture clean, and move on with life.

The background behind the studio includes military service during the 2003 initial push into Iraq, paramedic work, electrical engineering study at California State University, Long Beach, RF test work, machine learning and DSP development, aerospace support, and backend C++ work for modeling and simulation environments.

Independent software products

The studio portfolio spans legal work, app-store production, daily reminders, route planning, developer metrics, and whatever problem becomes annoying enough to deserve its own repo.
